Earlier this week, Hunter Biden – son of former US president Joe – sat down for a wide-ranging three-hour interview with American journalist and YouTuber Andrew Callaghan.
Biden opened up about a lot of things, including his struggles with drug addiction, his father’s fraught exit from the White House, and the celebrity Democrats who called for the 82-year-old to drop out of the 2024 election. It was George Clooney who came in for the bulk of his criticism.
“Fuck him and everybody around him. I don’t have to be fucking nice,” he told Callaghan and his Channel 5 outlet. “I agree with Quentin Tarantino. Fucking George Clooney is not a fucking actor. He is fucking like … I don’t know what he is. He’s a brand.”
It has divided opinion. Currently sitting at over 2.3 million views, the YouTube comment section is filled with (perhaps unexpected) bipartisan empathy for an embattled figure who has become a lightning rod for controversy and conspiracies in the political discourse. Needless to say, other comments aren’t so kind or forgiving.
